"Baia de Tarrafal" was the beautiful sounding name of this Boeing B757-200.

A bay of the islands of Cape verde.

And this is where one of the most stunning aircrafttags comes from. This edition is handcrafted out of a B757 operated by Cabo Verde Airlines. Each airplane of this small airline has its different livery. These colors are inspired by the characteristic colors of the capital island of Santiago.

It was delivered to Icelandair in 1990. From 2010 onwards it was flying under the name 

Eyjafjallajökull. This was the vulcano which eruption caused the closure of most European airspaces.

From 2017 onwards this airliner was leased by Cabo Verde Airlines and operated until its storage in 2022.
