About this aircraft
Our aircrafttag coasters have a size of 9,5 cm x 9,5 cm and an "anti skid" backside.
This Aircrafttag was crafted from the original aircraft skin of Airbus A220-300 SU-GFC, once operated by EgyptAir.
Although the A220 was designed for efficiency and modern short- to medium-haul flying, EgyptAir’s fleet had an unusually short career. Ongoing Pratt & Whitney engine issues caused long groundings and high operating challenges, leading the airline to retire and sell its A220 fleet after only a few years.
SU-GFC was already stored in 2021 and finally scrapped in 2025,
Now, part of SU-GFC lives on as a unique Aircrafttag - an authentic collector’s piece made from real aircraft fuselage for aviation enthusiasts worldwide.
Scratches are the point
This aluminium spent decades between +40 °C on the ramp and −60 °C at altitude, through rain, hail, de-icing fluid and ultraviolet light. It has dents, scratches and paint wear. That wear is the evidence that it flew - a flawless piece would mean it never did.
